I have said it before and I will say it again, if I have the weekly menu planned I am ready for the week. And if the menu is planned on Friday night or Saturday morning, I can relax for the rest of the weekend. Not having the menu done till Sunday really stresses me out, and I have finally learned to spend some time with my cookbooks at the beginning of the weekend in order to avoid unneeded stress. So all that’s left is to pick up a few ingredients, which will most likely happen during the week, as the chef likes to buy meat/fish the day we eat it.
You are probably wondering what we are having…so without a further ado…this whole week is based on recipes from Martha Stewart’s “Everyday FOOD” magazines.
SUNDAY: Grilled chicken and corn arugula salad
MONDAY: Stuffed Peppers, meatless of course – it’s Meatless Mondays after all
TUESDAY: Shrimp + spinach + mushroom barley
WEDNESDAY: Steak sandwiches with sauteed mushrooms
THURSDAY: Shrimp pesto pizza
SATURDAY: Date night
Not sure if I ever shared it with you but I love all things that are pretty and functional, organizational and girly. Naturally, the weekly menu planning process requires a very cute notepad that is perfect for making the list of meals and a side bar to list all of the ingredients.
Even better, it’s perforated so I don’t need to take the whole notepad to the store with me but just the grocery list. If you would like one, you can get it here. I promise, you’ll love it.
Not sure about you, but I am off to enjoy my weekend completely relaxed as my menu is D.O.N.E.weekly menu
