Weekend Eats and Weekly Menu

Ain’t this the truth! My Sunday was glorious…Kiki actually slept all night and woke up at her usual 7ish, which is like sleeping-in since the last few days the “party” started at 5am or earlier. That must have been an indication that this would be a good day or really a good week, and I certainly need a good week. We stayed busy all day – playing in the back yard chasing around the sous-chef, grocery shopping, shopping for food photography props [trying something new, we shall see what comes of it], walking around beautiful botanical gardens, watching pumpkin carving at our local Whole Foods, having an impromptu play date and enjoying a lot of good and delicious eats. Wouldn’t you call that a good day!?!

After all the meal planning and grocery shopping, I did not feel like cooking today, so we ended up having lunch at Whole Foods. We sampled delicious pumpkin ravioli, some pumpkin butter and pumpkin pie, and than for the main course we ended up having curry chicken and watermelon – yum, quite a mixture, but Kiki loved it, and that’s all that matters. I couldn’t believe how much she loved the curry chicken. I better learn how to make some, soon.

So here is what I have planned for this week…I just realized that even with all the shopping I forgot one major item – chicken…I better get to the grocery store and get us some because Kiki and I won’t be having any of these meals.

Monday: Hummus crusted chicken and steamed broccoli

Tuesday: Chicken quesadillas

Wednesday: Pasta with spinach and meatballs

Thursday: Chicken orzo skillet

Friday: Leftovers

Saturday: Broccoli cheese bites

Sunday: Girls’ lunch date [that would be me and my baby :-)]

Q: How was your weekend? Did you eat anything tasty? What do you have planned for this week? What can I say, I am nosy….I want to know.
