Weekly Menu

[source]This week’s menu has completely been inspired by the blogs that I frequently read. With hundreds of cookbooks and magazines that I have, I also keep track of all the recipes that I like in Evernote. Evernote is probably one of the most useful aps that I have – it’s simple to use; it keeps me organized and it has a very clean look to it – what more could you ask for.

I recently found out that we spend twice (almost three times) as much on food each month than what I originally thought. So in the effort to cut down on our spending and eat smarter I am hard at work planning our weekly menus with the items already in our pantry and fridge. I have to say so far so good  – today I “shaved off” almost $30 from the usual Sunday food spending – yeay Me!!! yeay coupons!!! yeay planing!!!!

So what we will be eating this week:

SUNDAY: Skillet Chicken with Peppers & Peanuts

MONDAY: Mushroom Risotto

TUESDAY: Peanut Butter Turkey Soba Noodles

WEDNESDAY: Summertime Sausage Kabobs

THURSDAY: Chicken Succotash with Avocado + Farmer’s Cheese

FRIDAY: Leftovers

SATURDAY: Date Night – Miami Spice “Red, the Steakhouse”
