Looking back on last week, we did OK. I do very well at the beginning of the week, but then as a week comes to an end my desire and energy for cooking fades away. But I tried. And I will continue until it gets natural to cook something every day. I am still struggling to find meals that Kiki will enjoy. As much as she is an adventurous eater, we still have challenging days. There are days that certain foods are her favorite and then two days later she won’t even look at it.
Last week when I made the Cheddar Mini Meatloaves she was spitting it out as if it was the worst thing ever, and then two days later she was asking for seconds. So every meal is a hit or miss, but I continue to try. I absolutely refuse to do two meals for two of us. So if she won’t eat what I put in front of her, we walk away from food, let the tantrum calm down and then try again, and I would say most times it works.
Kiki is also self proclaimed vegetarian. Meat is just not the priority. She will always picks out meat on the plate and chooses vegetables. She also likes spicy or at least well seasoned food, which I am not sure is the best thing for a toddler, but something I will definitely be checking with our pediatrician on the next appointment. In the mean time, we have a menu for this week. A few things that never made it on our plates last week, and a few new items. It’s a busy week for the Faux Foodie Girls, but we are ready.

Kiki, weekly menu
